The Role

FSX is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial mindset leader for our Energy Consulting practice, you will lead our research and consulting engagements for the power and utility domain, including equipment and other energy sectors pertaining to a range of fields such as grid modernization, data center energy trends, physical AI, green CO2-based products, providing in-depth analysis, strategic insights, and actionable recommendations to our clients. 

Your expertise will also contribute to the development of our intelligence platform alongside new customer acquisition and servicing of our consulting projects. The role will require travel to client locations, primarily across Europe, North America and APAC regions. Overall, this is a high-impact, business leadership role, offering you the opportunity to build and shape up FSX’s energy business alongside the senior leadership of the organization
clients. 

Leadership Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for growing the energy consulting service across key markets, covering business strategy, proposals, project execution, and customer satisfaction.
• Represent FSX at industry conferences, seminars, webinars, and workshops, establishing the company as a thought leader in the field.
• Ensure consulting projects are delivered in line with profitable outcomes for FSX. 
• Support internal ideation and brainstorming for novel intelligence platform concepts and market validation efforts. 

Operational Responsibilities: 

• Working alongside sales team to lead business development activities; proactively driving client interactions and thought-pieces, proposal writing, and showcasing FSX’s capabilities to prospects. 
• Develop and maintain external networks and relationships that lead to a deeper understanding of the market pulse that helps to identify emerging trends that impact clients and prospects from targeted segments. 
• Lead consulting efforts in power sector priorities including power market modelling, grid upgradation, energy storage, renewable fuels, etc.
• Develop and maintain research models, methodologies, and frameworks, coach and mentor junior team members in developments linked to the power and utility space.

Qualifications:

• Mandatory to hold a degree in a science-related field/economics with at least 8+ years of experience in the energy sector with direct exposure to market advisory or management consulting.
• Familiarity with the power and utility space, power equipment, grid infrastructure, etc. is essential.
• Familiarity with data center industry and AI is desirable.
• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients or senior decision-makers, either in consulting or other industry roles like market analysis, corporate strategy, business development.
• Strong presentation skills, including presenting strategic insight to senior management and potential for public speaking engagements at industry conferences.
• Ability to work independently and coach teams in a startup environment, leading effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds for project delivery.
