The Role

FSX is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader to lead our Energy Consulting practice, you will lead our research and consulting engagements for the power (including power equipment) and O&G sectors on a range of fields such as grid modernization, data center energy trends, physical AI, green CO2-based products, providing in-depth analysis, strategic insights, and actionable recommendations to our clients.

Your expertise will also contribute to the development of our intelligence platform alongside the acquisition and servicing of our consulting projects. Overall, this is a high-impact, business leadership role, offering you the opportunity to build and shape up FSX’s energy business alongside the CEO and senior leadership of the organization.

The successful candidate for the role will be based out of FSX’s Netherlands or Singapore offices. 

Responsibilities

Consulting P&L Leadership:

• Responsible for leading and growing the energy consulting service across key markets, covering business strategy, proposals, project execution, reporting, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain research and analysis models, methodologies, and frameworks, and coach and mentor team members.
• Lead recruitment and development efforts for new energy team members and actively contribute to their development and growth.
• Represent FSX at industry conferences, seminars, webinars, and workshops, establishing the company as a thought leader in the field.
• Ensure consulting projects are delivered in line with anticipated budgets and timelines to generate profitable outcomes for FSX.

Client Acquisition & Engagement:

• Work alongside the sales team to lead business development activities; proactively driving client interactions and thought-pieces, proposal writing, and showcasing FSX’s capabilities to prospects.
• Develop and maintain external networks and relationships that lead to a deeper understanding of the market pulse.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders in FSX’s commercial and marketing teams for demand generation.

Product Development:

• Support internal ideation and brainstorming for novel intelligence platform concepts and market validation efforts.
• Collaborate with the extended product team in developing product business case, initial wireframes, and subsequent product pilots.
• Provide strategic insights and thought leadership to platform clients by generating market reports, techno-economic analysis, and innovative data visualization on platform datasets.

Qualifications:

• Degree in a science-related field/economics with at least 10+ years of experience in the energy sector with direct exposure to market advisory or management consulting. Familiarity with the data center industry and AI desirable.
• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients or senior decision makers, either in consulting or other strategic industry roles like market analysis, corporate strategy, business development.
• Strong presentation skills, including presenting strategic insight to senior management and potential for public speaking engagements at industry conferences.
• Ability to work independently and coach teams in a startup environment, leading effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds for project delivery.
